STITCH FIX – MOHNTON FACTORY
PRODUCTION AND DESIGN MANAGER- CUT AND SEW KNITS
-Reinvigorated domestic manufacturing in a 100 year old factory by bringing modern design and product development- instituting tech packs, specs, boms, and setting high quality standards
-Launched an exclusive brand for Stitch Fix, made and sourced and with fabric knit in the USA called “Mohnton Made”
-Hiring manager and mentor of a staff of 35+ seamstresses, associates and supervisors and designers.
-High Functioning communication liaison and design contact between headquarter product and cross functional teams based in San Francisco
-Drove production capacity to 100k units in 1 year’s time, creating a production ready sewing floor, while motivating associates with goals and performance metrics.
-Specializing in local, domestic, sustainable production and sourcing..
-Transitioned factory to PPE production in 2020.
-Took initiative and solely responsible for generating sales of $50,000+ PPE- masks and gowns during pandemic shut down.
NANJING USA
DENIM DESIGN DIRECTOR / MERCHANDISER
-Design, Wash Specialist, line development, comp shopping, merchandise reports for clients Walmart, Target, Kohl’s. Trend, Concept, Design, Tech packs, Marketing and Rebranding. Full Design work from start to finish on all denim products and woven bottoms. Marketing and label development for Time and Tru, Terra & Sky and Nobo. Extensive global travel for trend shows, comp shopping, research and development. Sales and presentation to all clients. A Walmart design and service expert with an attention to margin, COGS, BOM’S, CAD development and quality.
American Giant
DESIGN CONTRACTOR
Designer, working directly with the San Francisco Headquarters, reporting to CEO. Factory visits to South Carolina for line review, trend shopping, fabric development, design. Helped to launch women’s brand, designed line, created marketing and labels.
WALMART
SENIOR DESIGNER / MANAGER- DENIM AND WOVENS
-Developed all woven products for Faded Glory ladies line, representing $250 million in annual retail sales — including denim, bottoms, tops, dresses and outerwear.
-Created all artwork including original prints, yarn dyes and patterns.
-Management of all vendor communication and development including direct and domestic suppliers. -Managed all lab dip, shade band and trim approvals for all woven products.
-Contribute to seasonal trends, color POV, and direction of ladies brands.
-Trend and competitor shopping in Europe, and the US.
GAP
MATERNITY DESIGN DIRECTOR, GIRLS DESIGNER, TODDLER DESIGNER
-Created the entire Maternity line from concept to production for all categories, reporting directly to the EVP of Design.
-Proven sales results with consistently positive same store comps.
-Expanded the line to include nursing, sleepwear, and swim.
-Helped to successfully launch Gap Maternity into a global business expanding into Canada , and England.
-Managed a team of designers, tech designers and production team.
